Swindon Director of Inclusion and Achievement Gives Glowing Report after Visit to St Luke’s Academy

Last week, we had the honour of being paid a visit from Annette Perrington, the Director of Inclusion and Achievement, and Lisa Savage, their Interim Head of SEND.

This was a fantastic opportunity for our staff and students to demonstrate what's so great about our school.

During the visit, Mrs Perrington was given a tour by one of our students, who spoke to her about his experiences at the school, his option choices, and how St Luke’s has made a difference to him.

Annette also mentioned other younger students talking about the importance of “Manners Matter” and to describe how they are working towards their EHCP goals!

Following the visit, Mrs Perrington took the time to make a special mention of her visit to the school, saying: “This visit made my day, I really did not feel that I was in a specialist SEMH environment and was blown away by the confidence and self-awareness of your students, they are a real credit to themselves, their families and to you and your staff.”

We are so proud of all of our students and staff for making an amazing impression on our visitors, and we’d like to give Annette and Lisa a big thank you for taking the time to see what St Luke’s is all about!

At St Luke’s, we are always looking to improve, and make our school the best environment for learning and development it can be. We can’t wait to demonstrate how much progress we’ve made to our next guests!
