We saw some great teamwork from the Woodland Management group who began coppicing using hand tools during their first practical session. The coppicing season runs from now until the spring, so students will have plenty of opportunity to hone their skills and meet the learning outcomes required to successfully achieve their Level 1 OCN Award in Environmental Conservation and Heritage.
Forest School have been identifying which trees we have on site. Using ID charts and leaves from the different trees, we hope to map our wonderful wildlife area.
BTEC Construction have been learning more about the tools used in carpentry; their names and uses.
