The Student Council met on Thursday 23rd of September.
We had discussions regarding our school democracy and expectations. The Students designed a School Charter which sets out our standards for an inclusive education at St Luke’s. We do not tolerate use of inappropriate language or sexist, racist, derogatory, discriminatory or homophobic behaviour.
Curriculum Leads reported back on developments in Teaching and learning this term and there is certainly a lot to celebrate in these areas!
Safeguarding and Health and Safety representatives reported back that students feel safe and know how to manage any concerns quickly. We will continue with these themes in next week’s assembly.
At our next meeting we will focus on topics such as ‘what qualities make a good teacher?’ and how we will support charities.
We are looking forward to our trip to Swindon Radio next week.
