This week has seen the return of science to St Luke’s timetable.
Years 9 and 10 had an introductory lesson to prepare them to achieve a BTEC level 1 certificate in applied science. We looked at the main branches of science: physics, biology and chemistry. The pupils had some great discussions and shared what they already knew about these and what jobs they knew were scientific in nature.
We will move on to explore basic scientific principles and how they apply to real life, also we will investigate how science can provide many different opportunities for employment in the future.
Chemistry how “stuff” happens when you mix “stuff” with other “stuff”.
