At St Luke’s Academy our students enjoy the time they have to experiment with their cooking and baking skills.
9A as a class have been attempting a variety of different skills during this lesson from exotic curries and sizzling stir fry to the recipe they followed this week which was a classic flapjack. As a school we pride ourselves on teamwork and our students demonstrate that every day especially in their Food Technology lessons, when they share out the jobs of cleaning down the work sides, to washing and drying up. Each student shows how they can work independently and with minimal help or advise from the teacher.
They are able to help one another when struggling to grasp the concept of a certain dish or method of cooking. The way they work together and help build each other’s confidence up shows how they are working so closely towards our value of Kindness.
