Positive Engagement with Learning

It’s great to be on the top floor at St. Luke’s Academy with panoramic views over the Ridgeway and next door to the wonderful Miss Fusco and her engaging Food Technology lessons. I often pop into her lessons and the students are always really engaged and immersed within an exciting invitation to learn. The wonderful smells often wander into my office and certainly tempt the appetite daily!

The most important aspect of these Food Technology lessons for me as SENCO is seeing the life skills that are taught to these students enabling them to cook independently as adults. This is often something I reference within annual reviews and I know families enjoy receiving dishes made and having their child cook for the family at home using skills learnt within the academy.
